MBARARA– The Mbarara District RDC Lt Col James Mwesigye has threatened to close churches and schools if their proprietors are not following guidelines set by Ministry of Health.
He sounded the warning yesterday while meeting church leaders and head teachers at Mbarara city council hall.
RDC Mwesigye added that it is the role of church leaders and head teachers to implement the Standard Operating procedures or else the government will be left with no option than closing them.
The District Health Officer Doctor Peter Ssebuntide called upon all religious leaders and head teachers to be more vigilant while purchasing gadgets like temperature guns, sanitizers among others as some are fake.
