Woman sentenced to life imprisonment in Bushenyi for killing husband

BUSHENYI- The High Court in Bushenyi presided over by Justice Annah Bitature on Friday September 18th 2020 sentenced to life imprisonment a 42 years old woman for killing her husband.

Prosecution told court that on April 29th 2016 at their home in Kigarama parish Sheema District, Tophas Kamazima with the help of their Shamba boy  killed her husband Frank Atujuna aka Matama.

Mr. Mataama was a businessman who operated in Kabwohe town.

Court heard that Kamazima connived with Adonia Bangirana their shamba boy and her sister Hawab Natamba to finish off Mataama’s life.

Court never allowed any plae from the trio who has been on remand since 2016 and having proved beyond doubt that they committed the crime, the judge sentenced them.

Justice Bitature sentenced Adonia Bangirana to 50 years in prison while Hawab is to serve 40 years, both in Bushenyi government prison Nyamushekyere.

While sentencing them Justice Bitature noted that this will act as an eye opener to perpetuators of the law.
