MITOOMA- The Ruhinda Constituency Independent Parliamentary Aspirant Dr Ben Twetegyeire has warned aspirants against bribing voters in return for votes.
Talking to our reporter on Sunday September 27th 2020, Dr Twetegyeire said buying voters is an indication of a weak leader who can’t provide services to the people.
“If they buy votes, it means they have done nothing to offer to the electorates and they will do nothing after the elections “Dr Twetegire said.
The aspirant said the reason as to why the National Resistance Movement is receiving many election petitions is because their poll was full of Irregularities mostly voter bribery.
Dr Ben Twegire is a resident of Rubaare in Katenga Sub county Ruhinda Constituency is eyeing the seat that is currently occupied by Hon Captain Dononzio Kahonda though he is facing a tough competition from the Minister of East African Affairs Maj Gen Kahinda Otafiire who is already the county’s NRM Flagbearer.
Dr Ben (Independent) is now contesting against the renowned politician Major General Kahinda Otafiire (NRM), Mbiine Robert (Independent) and Alex Yekwatse (Independent) and among others.
