Uganda’s Coronavirus cases rise to 953 after 14 new cases are confirmed

KAMPALA- The Ministry of Health has recorded 14 new cases from tests done on Sunday July 05 2020 confirm.
This brings the cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans to 953.

The new cases according to the Ministry of Health include 11 truck drivers, three are contacts and alerts from Luwero, Kyotera and Amuru Districts.

All confirmed cases are Ugandans, 9 arrived from Kenya via Malaba, 1 arrived from South Sudan via Elegu and 1 via Mutukula from Tanzania.

Additionally, 43 cases were rejected entry after testing positive at Ugandan borders and sent for treatment in their home countries.

The country has so far 206 active cases on admission including 177 Ugandans, 25 foreigners and 5 refugees. Todate Uganda has registered 892 coronavirus recoveries.
