Uganda’s Coronavirus cases cross 3000 mark with 32 deaths

KAMPALA- Health of Ministry has confirmed 65 new Coronavirus cases from 3,564 samples tested on Monday August 31st 2020.

The new cases include; 62 alerts and contacts of which 20 are from Kampala, 10 from Kikuube, 8 from Luweero, 4 from Buikwe, 4 from Zombo, 3 from Adjumani, 3 from Arua, 2 from Jinja, as Mbarara , Mayuge , Pallisa and Yumbe registering one each.

Other 4 cases include one health worker from Kampala and two truck drivers from Padea and Lira.

According to the ministry, two foreign truck drivers including 1 Kenyan and 1 Congolese who tested positive for Coronavirus were not allowed into the country.

Todate, Uganda has registered a total of 3,037 confirmed Coronavirus cases, 1,489 recoveries and thirty two fatalities.
