Uganda registers 64th death, 244 new Coronavirus cases

KAMPALA- The Ministry of Health has confirmed 244 new cases from the tests done on Monday September 21st, 2020.

The new number brings the cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans to 6,712.

Of the new cases, 219 are contacts and alerts of whom 26 are from Kiryandongo, 23 from Kampala, Pader 19, Gulu 16, Mukono 14, Moroto 13, Jinja 11, Adjumani 11, Amuru 9, Busia 7, Kitgum 12 and Lira 6.

Other cases from contacts and alerts are 5 from Omoro, Buvuma 4, Nakapiripirit 5, Arua 3, Iganga 3, Kisoro 3, Kumi 3, Mitooma 3, Nabilatuk 2, Bulambuli 2, Butaleja 2, Soroti 2, Wakiso 2 as Abim , Buikwe, Bunyangabu, Kabarole, Kapchorwa, Kotido, Isingiro, Mbarara, Moyo, Ngora, Sironko, Tororo and Zombo each registering a single case.

Other cases include; 21 returnees all from India, one truck driver who entered Uganda via Mpondwe Point of Entry.

The Country also registered a single death from Kampala hiking the total country’s fatalities to 64.
