KAMPALA- Uganda has registered two (2) COVID-19 deaths from Kampala bringing the total number of Corona virus deaths to forty eight (48).
The Ministry of Health has also confirmed 190 new COVID-19 cases from 2,301 samples tested on 8th September, 2020.
Of the confirmed cases, 187 are alerts and contacts including 95 from Kampala, 40 from Kitgum, 13 from Zombo, 12 from Moroto , 7 from Lira, 4 from Mbarara, 2 from Arua, 2 from Gulu, 2 from Luweero, 2 from Wakiso, 1 from Adjumani, 1 from Kabale, 1 from Kikuube, 1 from Kiryandogo, 1 from Mayuge, 1 from Mbale , 1 from Mukono and 1 from Terego.
The other cases include three (3) truck drivers who arrived via Bunagana, Elegu and Malaba points of entry.
To date, Uganda registers a cumulative total of 4,291 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 1,998 recoveries and forty eight (48) COVID19 deaths.
