BUSHENYI- September has not been easy for journalists in Bushenyi district after a number of them were fired from their jobs.
Information obtained by this Online Publication indicate that some were fired for serious reasons whereas others on minor accusations.
The journalists were working with different media houses and the most affected are Crane and Theo Radio stations both located in Ishaka town Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality.
Fired workers at Theo Radio include Baron Ssalongo (presenter), Lynda Edidah Murungi (News anchor), Rukundo ya Yesu Emily (Presenter)
The other reshuffle in the Bushenyi Media industry was at the 87.6 Ishaka based Crane Radio commonly known to many as “ENTUUHA” where the news editor, Felix Ekirengabazaana, Hekro Edmandie (sports presenter), Cosbert Amanya (Programs Director) and Jose Smile (presenter) were also fired from duty.
Others who had earlier been on bench are Domisiano Ayebare and Ibrahim Zirah who were attached to MK Newslink a Bushenyi based Online Publication.
However, some of them are already linked in moves to other media houses as others are still on bench with no options, according to our sniffers in the area.
