RUKUNGIRI- Residents of Nshungyezi trading center Rubanga parish in Buyanja Sub County were on Sunday morning September 6th 2020 thrown into fear and dismay after finding an area resident lifeless hanging on a rope.
The deceased has been identified as Kenneth Mushoborozi aka Seketa 43 the head teacher of Kyamutariga Primary school in Kebisoni Sub county.
The community learnt of Mushoborozi’s death after his son who sleeps in the quarters of the father’s shop, tried to wake his father up as usual to open the shop but he unfortunately couldn’t respond.
The son made an alarm that his relatives who later alerted the police. The neighbors and relatives led by his elder brother Benjamin Mubangizi told our reporter that the deceased has been battling mental illness which could have caused this suicidal act.
IP Elly Mate the Kigezi Region Police spokesman told this Online Publication that it is alleged that had supper at home on Saturday even and later went on to sleep at his business premise in Nshungyezi trading centre where he was staying with the son in the boy’s quarters.
Maate condemned the acting saying that the deceased could have thought for help from relevant authorities instead of finishing his life in such a manner.
“I want to condemn this, because I imagine that whichever reasons he had for doing so could have been sorted out in a better method than the one of taking his own life” IP Maate told the press.
The case has since been registered at Rukungiri main Police station vide CRB 1663/2020 as Police investigations commence.
