RUKUNGIRI- Retired Major Godfrey Katamba Barambwire one of the contestants for Rubabo County Parliamentary Seat in Rukungiri District had picked nomination forms ready to tussle it out with incumbent Hon Mary Paula Turyahikayo who has been the area MP since 2006.
Maj Katamba picked the nomination forms from the NRM Electoral Commission offices in Kampala after presenting the receipt of Ugx 2 million as a mandatory fee required.
Speaking to this reporter after picking the nomination forms, Major Katamba said that he has a mission to liberate Rubabo Constituency and ensure service delivery is distributed evenly to the people of Rubabo.
Others in Rubabo County Parliamentary NRM Seat race include the incumbent Hon Paula Turyahikayo, David Tushabomwe Ndindirize, Peter Kakurugu, Davis Nkunda, Natukunda Peggy Mafigiri, Mercy Rwandembo among many others.
The winner from NRM camp will face the winnwer in the FDC primeries where Naboth Namanya is battling Hilary Ainembabzi aka “Owa Work” who has been endorsed by the party as their flag bearer in Rubabo.
