KAMPALA- President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who is also the National Chairman of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party is set to visit all districts where violence and disagreements have erupted following last week’s party elections.
A trusted source from State House has confirmed that President Museveni is very much concerned about the growing levels of violence in the NRM polls.
“President Yoweri Museveni has started visiting all districts in the country which experienced violence and chaos in the just concluded NRM Primary elections,” The source which asked not to be named revealed.
Sources from State House confirmed that President Museveni is very much concerned about the growing levels of violence in NRM polls and has decided to visit all the districts that were married with chaos, to get first-hand information on what exactly transpired.
The purpose of Museveni’s visit to these districts is also to reconcile the aggrieved parties for the good of the NRM party whose vision is to build a peaceful, united, democratic and harmonious Uganda.
Apparently, President Museveni is today, Thursday expected to visit Mbarara district in Western Uganda before flying to Busoga region.
He will then proceed to Mbale district and head to Teso subregion later in the week.
