Prisons Services to recruit over 150 Cadet Officers

KAMPALA- The Uganda Prisons Services Authority has announced that it will be recruiting 154 Cadet Assistants into their ranks not later than October 30th 2020.

According to the announcement issued by the Uganda Prisons Authority Secretary Dr Benon Mutambi, the Authority will recruit 2 Agricultural Engineers, 2 Medical Officers, 2 Agricultural Officers, 1 Veterinary Doctor and 147 General Duties Cadet Assistants.

The announcement indicate that the applicants can drop their applications at the Prisons Regional  Headquaters at Luzira,  Masaka, Mbarara, Kabale, Fortportal, Mubende, Jinja, Mbale, Soroti, Moroto, Lira, Gulu, Arua, Masindi and Mukono.

Dr Mutambi warned officers already in governmemt service not to apply and all applicants will be subjected to medical fitness and should have a clean criminal record.

The announcement also indicated that the applicants must be below Degree holders below 35 years and ready to undergo 12 months training and further 3 months attachment.

Mutambi advised the applicants to download application forms from the Prisons Authority website www.prisonsauthority.go.ug or Public Service Commission website www.psc.go.ug .
