GULU- President Yoweri Museveni has today October 23rd 2020, commissioned the Ugx 82.3 billion phase 1 Gulu Water Supply and Sanitation Project in Gulu city.
The President was flanked by German Ambassador to Uganda His Excellency Mathias Schauer, the Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanyah, State Ministers Beatrice Anywar and Ronald Kibuule, Board Chairman Eng. Badru Kiggundu, Deputy NRM Secretary General Richard Todwong and Deputy MD Technical Services Eng. Johnson Amayo.
The Gulu Water Supply and Sanitation project is geared towards upgrading and expansion of the existing water treatment plant from a production capacity of 4,000,000 litres of water per day to 10,000,000 litres of water per day.
The project which is jointly funded by the government of Uganda, World Bank and KfW of Germany aims at improving access to water and sanitation services in priority areas and improve the living conditions in Gulu city and sorrounding areas.
