OBSERVATION: Ugandans risk COVID-19 infections as erratic, negligent behaviour is increasingly displayed in sports grounds

BUSHENYI- Ugandans risk getting infected with Covid-19 as most of them nolonger follow the guidelines as set by the Ministry of Health and President Yoweri Museveni.

Our reporters have clearly observed that football supporters have already started flocking playgrounds to watch games though President Museveni directed that sporting activities should resume but with no spectators.

At Kashenyi playground in Ishaka division Bushenyi Ishaka Municiapality, the pitch was full of supporters who never even had masks as Katungu FC played against Voice of Ruhinda football club from Kashenshero in Mitooma district.

The game ended 0-0 and for ladies Voice of Ruhinda (VOR) FC won Katungu FC by 3-0.

On several churches in Mitooma district, more than 70 christians were seen attending services including children and some of them never wore masks.

Observers say this is dangerous to human life as Coronavirus continues ravaging  the country.

Currently, Uganda has registered 8,808 covid-19 cases, 4,736 recoveries and 81 deaths.
