RUKUNGIRI- The Police in Rukungiri have started investigations into the mysterious death of an Indian who was found in his residence dead this afternoon.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate has identified the deceased as 26-year-old Kashvala Mayur Nathu who arrived in Uganda on 20th Nov 2018 and carried passport No NO024158. The deceased was working as an Accountant with Blue Nile Distributors Ltd in Rukungiri Town.
Maate said that Kashvala who resided in Butimba cell in Kinyasano Ward reported at his place of work this morning but shortly after he developed sickness and was advised by his supervisor identified as Patel Mehul, to return home and when his supervisor went to check on him, he found him badly off.
“Shortly after Patel went to check on him and he found him badly off and he immediately called in a Doctor from Case Clinic in Rukungiri who arrived and confirmed that he had died,” Maate said.
Maate said that the Police was notified and arrived at the scene and the body was taken to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for a postmortem to be carried out to establish the exact cause of his death.
The case of sudden death was registered at Rukungiri Police Station under reference number CRB 1736/2020 to help in investigations.
