BUSHENYI- The Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality Parliamentary seat is becoming more competitive after one of the district tycoons commonly known as Don Nasser enters the race.
The seat is currently occupied by Hon Arinda Gordon Cowboy who recently lost the NRM flag to Derrick Beimukye Kabura in the controversial NRM Primary polls.
Most of the candidates said the poll was full of Irregularities and by Friday 25th September 2020, the Bushenyi District NRM Tribunal had started listening and discussing different the election petitions raised by the aspirants.
Don Nasser is a young blood born in Kizinda ward, Kizinda-Kigoma Town council in Igara West and our reporters had earlier reported that he wanted to stand against Hon Mbwatekamwa for Igara West mp seat.
However, news reaching our desk now is that he wants to stand on the municipality seat since his home is in the Municipality. He has a Manson in Kizinda town Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality.
It was first rumored that the Don couldn’t be in possession of the required academic credentials for the seat he is eyeing however this Online Publication has ably established that the man completed form six the requirement for the seat.
His academic credentials were being biased at a time when the Bushenyi District electorates are still uncertain about the education level of Annet Katusiime Mugisha, the Bushenyi District NRM Woman Parliamentary Flag bearer.
The Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality seat has so far attracted a number of candidates including Yedidiya Nyakahangura (ANT), Odo Tayeebwa (FDC), Derrick Kabura (NRM), Chris Muganzi (Independent), now the money bag Don Nasser among others.
