MASINDI- The Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) have sent a helicopter to rescue Masindi Resident High Court Judge Paul Gadenya who was involved in a life-threatening accident earlier today.
The UPDF Spokesman Brig Flavia Byekwaso has said that Justice Gadenya was airlifted to Kampala immediately after the accident and rushed him to Mulago National Referral Hospital where he is admitted in the Intensive Care Unit.
Justice Gadenya was involved in an accident at Bigando in Masindi District as he headed to Masindi on official duty when his official car registration number UG 0781J got a head-on collision with another vehicle.
Brig Byekwaso said that the UPDF helicopter was dispatched to Masindi a short while ago and the critically injured Justice Gadenya was airlifted to Mulago.
Brig Byekwaso posted on her Twitter page stating, ” UPDF Airforce has dispatched a Helicopter to evacuate the Resident District Judge Paul Gadenya who has gotten an accident this morning on his way to Masindi………., UPDF family wishes Justice Paul Gadenya a quick recovery.”
By the time of writing this report, the Judge and his driver Ian Rutagira had been delivered to Kampala.
