KABALE- 16 losers of the recently concluded National Resistance Movement (NRM) Parliamentary party primaries from Kigezi region have formed a coalition to fight against NRM flag bearers in the forthcoming general
The losers under their pressure group Kigezi NRM Frontlines accuses the flag bearers of robbing them off their victory by especially intimidating and bribing voters, conniving with security organs to harass them in the recently concluded NRM primaries.
The members under the Chairmanship of Simpson Mpirirwe, the former Kabale Ndorwa West MP contestant also accuse the NRM leadership led by its Chairperson President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of keeping silent
when his new cadres were robbed of their victories.
They said that despite some of them petitioning the NRM secretariat, they were not helped at the expense of their opponents.
Mpirirwe the former Ndorwa West MP contestant who lost to David Bahati the Minister of Finance in charge of planning said that they have resolved to petition President Museveni to intervene and address the injustices they faced in the last election or else they will rally behind independent candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
Tracy Asiimwe, Gloria Tukahurirwa, Doreen Twebaze, Levi Musinguzi who all lost to Mary Paula Turyahikayo for the Rubabo constituency Member of Parliament seat vowed to rally behind David Ndindirize Tushabomwe
who was second to Turyahikayo.
Gloria Tukahurirwa said they cannot support Mary Paula who rigged their votes and connived with Police to torturer other candidates.
Dan Mbonigaba who lost to John Kamara for Bufumbira North, Francis Tiryoomwe who lost to Eddie Kwizera also said that they can never accept to support their last election tormenters. They said they are only ready to support any independent candidates unless President Museveni intervenes.
