KISORO– The Police in Kisoro District are hunting for thugs who waylaid a Boda Boda cyclist, hit him with a hammer, killing him instantly and took off with his motorcycle.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate has confirmed that Tumushime Julius a resident of Kabara village in Nyakabingo Parish in Chahi Sub County was yesterday killed by yet to be known thugs who hit him with a hammer on his head.
According to Nfitundinda Elias a resident of the same village, the deceased who was riding motorcycle registration number UFB 519Z, was attacked at around 8:30 pm as he returned home.
Maate said that the Police was informed by Nfitundinda Elias and the Police detectives rushed to the scene where a hammer that was used to hit Tumushime Julius was recovered as exhibit.
Maate said that the postmortem was done and a case of murder registered at Kisoro District Police Station under reference number CRB 612/2020 to help in further investigation.
