FAIRPLAY: NRM’s Tadwong warns staff against sidelining candidates

KAMPALA-The ruling National Resistance Movement  (NRM) Deputy Secretary General, Hon Richard Tadwong has asked Secretariat staff attached to upcountry NRM offices to serve all party candidates equally without any discrimination.

Hon Tadwong made the call yesterday afternoon while meeting the District Administrative Secretaries at the party Headquarters in Kampala.

Tadwong urged the NRM District Administrative Secretaries to never take sides but attend to all candidates equally and he also warned the upcountry staff, to avoid attending  candidates’ meetings unless it’s an official event involving all concerned individuals.

He reminded the Administrative Secretaries that they are fully answerable to the party Secretary General and warned against undermining her office.

The Deputy SG disclosed that the Administrative Secretaries had partly been invited to the headquarters to receive the official stamps to be used in the internal party elections and he said that the stamps will be exclusively used in endorsing the party candidates starting with the Special Interest Groups (SIGs).

“Use the stamps for official work only”, The Deputy Secretary General asserted.

While addressing the same meeting, the Deputy National Treasurer Hon. Jacqueline Kyatuheire said the Secretary General had directed all offices which had closed in March across the country due to Coronavirus to re-open for operations.

The National Deputy Treasurer Hon Jacqueline Kyatuheire also addressed the meeting .

Hon Kyatuheire urged the staff to observe the Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) at offices and  added that each office was getting the sanitizers, a plastic can for hand washing, a Temperature gun and 200 masks.  The meeting was also addressed by the Director – Mobilization Hon Mathias Kasamba and the Senior Manager, Finance and Administration, Aaron Kashamba, all who urged the Administrative Secretaries to be as much neutral as possible.
