KAMPALA- The ex-Internal Security Organization (ISO) boss Col Kaka Bagyenda who was the Director General has shun the handover ceremony where he was supposed to hand over tools of power to his successor Col Oluka.
News reaching our desk indicates that the former Kaka did not show up for the handover to the new DGISO, Col Charles Oluka.
“He is at his home very drunk,” one of the ISO operatives has told this news website.
According to another operative, the Minister of Security – Gen Elly Tumwine has also chased Emmy Katabazi away from the ceremony saying he wasn’t aware of his appointment.
“Go away, we do not know you.” The handover ceremony was supposed to take place this Wednesday afternoon October 14th 2020 at ISO headquarters, Nakasero.
Last week, the Commander-in-Chief who is also the President of the Republic of Uganda, Gen Yoweri Museveni replaced Kaka Bagyenda with Charles Oluka who would be deputized by Emmy Katabazi.
On Tuesday, Emmy Katabazi also posted on facebook thanking H.E. the President for appointing him as the new DDGISO. It is not yet clear why Gen Tumwine has chased him away from this function. This is a developing story, we shall keep you posted about any development.
