Details emerge in Mitooma Parliamentary Aspirant Coffin saga

MITOOMA- Security operatives in Mitooma district have started investigating circumstances under which a coffin was found in the compound of Atwebembeire Arthur Kazoora, the Ruhinda South NRM Parliamentary Aspirant.

According to Ada Nasiima, the Mitooma Resident District Commissioner, the police and her office were alerted by the residents of the tragedy in Rwakikambuzi cell, Nyakihita parish, Mutara Sub County in Mitooma district on Monday morning August 31st 2020.

Ms Nasiima condemned the act as satanic adding that it might be aimed at threatening the candidate in his current political trail.

“This is one of threatening you; feel free we shall vote on Friday and out of the contestants, one person must win. However this shouldn’t be the way of soliciting for support from the public” RDC Ada consoled the aspirant.

Mr. Atwebembeire Arthur Kazoora told this Online Publication that he first learnt of this from the neighbors that a coffin surrounded by the 2000 notes was in his compound.

He added that the notes were summing up to Ugx 74,000. Mr Kazoora however noted that he is not scared of the happenings since he’s a true Christian adding that this is meant to strengthen his efforts to lead the people of Ruhinda South whom he said are thirsty of service delivery.

“Am not worried because I got saved and the head of laity of my church and the Archdeaconry. Am sure I will win this election and good chance police has come and started investigations into who could have been behind this” he said.

Some of residents at Rwakikambuzi cell termed this a political propaganda mainly by Kazoora’s opponents aimed at tarnishing his name in the public.

Mr. Dan Muhoozi, a resident of Rwakikambuzi cell said they were surprised to find a coffin in the compuound of an aspiring candidate and that’s why we alerted the police.

Hon. Athur Kazoora, Ambrosio Byamugisha Muhoozi and others are contesting against the incumbent Ruhinda South legislator Hon Captain Dononzio Kahonda.

NRM Parliamentary flag bearer Elections are slated for September 4th 2020.
