KAMPALA- Uganda’s examinations regulator, Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has ordered all schools nationwide to register their female students who conceived during the extensive Covid-19 lockdown.
In a press conference held today morning, UNEB’s Executive Secretary Daniel Odongo revealed that this year registered the highest number of pregnant students in comparison to all previous academic years.
Mr Odongo further stated that it would be very unfair to block these pregnant students most of whom became victims of circumstances beyond their control.
The UNEB boss asserted that Ordinary level candidates in Senior 4 will conduct their Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams with effect from 1st March 2021 while their PLE counterparts in P7 will be sat on 30th and 31st March next year.
While senior 6 candidates will sit for the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) exams on 12th of April 2021.
