Bushenyi – Ishaka Municipality schools have received revision books (holiday packages) for primary seven candidate classes.
The reading materials were delivered by Marvin Baryaruha so that they can continue with studies during this period when schools are still locked up.
While delivering the items on July 10th 2020, the Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality aspiring Member of Parliament Marvin Baryaruha cautioned teachers who were present at the function to ensure that the books handed over to them benefit all the targeted pupils in their areas of vicinity.
Mr Baryaruha has noted that the packages are aimed at ensuring continuity of learning and keeping the candidates busy when they are still home over the coronavirus outbreak.
The revision materials were received by teachers’ representatives led by Mr Selestine Twinomugisha the Chairperson of Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality Primary School Head teachers who as well double as the Headteacher St Kagwa Boarding Primary School.
Mr. Selestine urged parents to be more vigilant of their pupils when they are at home and ensure imparting them with skills that would help them in the future.
“Pupils sometimes when they are away from the school learning environment, they tend to divert from that picture of learning which exposes their day to day life to danger and more often to offenders” he added.
It is therefore important that once they acquire such skills, life will in future be easier for them after studies.
