KAMPALA – The Ministry of Health has announced that an 80 Year old woman has become the 2nd person to die from Coronavirus in Uganda.
The woman from Kisenyi in Kampala was first admitted at Platinum hospital in Kampala and was later referred to Mengo Hospital for further treatment.
Our source from the Ministry of Health said the deceased presented with signs and symptoms consistent with Coronavirus which included cough, fever, chest pain and difficulty in breathing.
It’s reported that samples were drawn and sent to the Uganda Virus Research Institute for analysis and results showed samples tested positive for Coronavirus.
Uganda registered its first Coronavorus case death in Mbale district on July 21, 2020 and was a support staff working at Wasungui Health Centre II in Namisindwa District.
When contacted the Ministry of Ministry spokesperson Emmanuel Ainebyoona, could not deny or commit himself but promised to give more details later.
