BREAKING: Uganda confirms 3rd Coronavirus death

KAMPALA- Uganda has on Friday July 31st 2020 registered one Coronavirus death bringing to total 3 coronavirus deaths.

The deceased is a 67 year old Male Nigerian origin and a resident of Kisenyi in Kampala. Information from the Ministry of Health indicates that the deceased had symptoms consistent to Coronavirus which include cough, fever, chest pain and difficulty in breathing and sought treatment from a private clinic.

He later went to Kiruddu Referral Hospital where he was admitted and samples were taken off.

The Ministerial statement added that he died on Wednesday July 29th 2020. This has so far forced the Ministry to look for the 15 contacts who are said to have come in contact with the deceased.

Additionally, Results from Coronavirus tests done on Thursday July 2020 confirmed 7 cases bringing the cumulative total of confirmed Ugandan cases to 1,154.

Of the 7 new cases, 2 are truck drivers, 3 are alerts and 2 are contacts of the previous confirmed cases.
