Bishop Rubaramira pleads for prayers to Priests

KANUNGU- The Bishop of Kabale Rt. Rev. Calist Rubaramira has asked Christians to pray for people who chose to take a vacation in priesthood because it is not easy and needs patience and determination.

Bishop Rubaramira made the remarks October 31st 2020, while officiating at the ordination of Father Erias Orishaba, at Makiro Catholic Parish in Kanungu District.

Bishop Rubaramira said that ordained priests live all their life dedicated to preaching the Word of God and this needs sacrifice and dedication and therefore it’s important that they get prayers from the people they serve.

Father Erias Orishaba is a Missionary Priest and has been posted to Central African Republic where he will start his Pastoral work.

Father Erias orishaba promised to serve with honesty and diligence as reflected in the different vows he made in front of all the believers that were present at Makiro Catholic Church.

The event that was scenically organized according to Coronavirus pandemic Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) was attended by a number of Catholic Priests from Kabale Diocese.

Present also were political leaders who included the Minister of State for Housing who is also the Member of Parliament for Kinkizi East Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, Kanungu District Woman Member of Parliament Hon Elizabeth Karungi Beikirize and UPDF Member of Parliament Maj Evelyn Asiimwe.

Others at the function included the Kanungu District NRM Woman flag bearer Patience Kinshaba Nkunda, Kansiime Honest, Mackline Asiimwe,  Deus Nkwasibwe also known as ‘Omusisa’,  Arans Tabaruka Mark of FDC and  Zepher Mugisha the NRM LC 5 Candidate for Kanungu District.
