Almost beheaded! Man killed in gruesome murder as unknown thugs attempted to behead him

RUKIGA- The Police in Muhanga Town Council, in Rukiga district are hunting for unknown thugs who attempted to cut off the head of Sande Anatoli to a close point of almost removing it.

Elly Maate has confirmed that 55-year-old Sande, a resident of Nyakanengo village in Rutare Ward in Muhanga Town Council was killed on the night of 31st August 2020, as he returned home at night.

According to the area LC 1 Chairman Orikiriza Dismon, the deceased was cut on the neck using a sharp object that almost removed the head.

“The deceased was attacked by unknown people on the path way leading to his home by unknown people and we are hunting for them,” Maate explained.

Maate said that the Police will hunt down the killers until they are arrested and charged in courts of law accordingly, the case has been registered at Muhanga Police Station under reference number SD 06/31/08/2020.

Meanwhile the Police in Kabale Municipality are investigating the circumstances under which a Boda Boda cyclist was hit with a hammer and left to die.

Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate said that Alex Kukundakwe who  was riding motorcycle registration number UBF 157E a resident of Kijuguta in Northern Division of Kabale Municipality was attacked by a passenger last night, he picked at Green Hills junction but hit him with a hammer and took off with his Motorcycle.

Kukundakwe was rescued by a good Samaritan who rushed him to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital where he is admitted.

Maate said that a case of aggravated robbery has been registered at Kabale Police Station under reference number SD 28/31/09/2020 to help in Investigations.
