Tears as Hundreds mourn Ronah Kataabazi

Yesterday was a dark day for many Ugandans!

The day started with the heartbreaking news of the mysterious passing away of Ray Jarius Watuulo 25 a son of Uganda Christian University-UCU dean Dr Richard Watuulo a day after his (Roy) wedding. The same day, sad news of the death of a young woman identified as Ronah Kataabazi Simons surfaced online.

Ronah died of pnemonia leaving a hurting widower Jj Raymond.

Ronah and Raymond got married in 2016, they have two children together Riley and Reign. The two young lovers have been proud of each other and have always shown affection to each other on social media as evidenced on Raymond’s social media accounts.

Friends of Ronah are grieving the loss; Fayth Presh says she is too weak to move on from the heartbreak after losing someone she has been friends with for ten years.

“Ronah Kataabazi Simons, my Apple, my matron, my most real friend, what have you done to me? How can I be strong, how can I move on from this, how do I pick myself up, I’m so weak, my heart aches for our ten year old friendship for Riley and Reign your two cute angels, Riley just 4 months old LORD WHY this is too much I had to see you on Thursday, no you couldn’t wait apple you had to leave, I can’t explain how I feel, I have so many questions, I can’t i don’t understand, you were the perfect definition of beauty inside out. Till we meet my Apple, Rest in peace, I will forever hold you at heart. I am going to miss you so much Ronah,” She cried.

Another Facebook user named Castrol Fidel says Ronah was a good friend and a good wife to Raymond

“Ronah Kataabazi Simons watwiita, hoona yesu!!!!, you were a friend and a good wife to my bro Jj Raymond. This is so heartbreaking,” He mourns.

NTV Uganda’s Andrew Kyamagero who is a friend to Raymond also griefs the loss of Ronah.

“Jj Raymond, I can’t comprehend this. I remember our Saturday conversation about Rhonah and how you believed in recovery. May her soul rest in eternal peace. Life is indeed a vapour,” He says.

Rhona died on Monday evening 7th December 2020 from Kampala hospital. Her funeral service will be held today at all saints church at 10am. She will be laid to rest at Nyabiteete Buyanja in Rukungiri tomorrow Wednesday 9th December in the afternoon.
