Social media has been alight with talk about a potential big name departure from NBS TV in the form of seasoned news anchor Samson Kasumba. Kasumba had been rumoured to be on the move away from Next Media Uganda with some reporting that he was headed to Serena based NTV.
The rumour had been prompted by a tweet in which Samson Kasumba appeared to be dying his goodbyes to NBS TV family.
” I don’t like good byes. You’ve made me so comfortable and made me feel so much at home the time I have been with you. Now seems I’ve got to start over again making some other place feel home. That’s life right? Nothing seems permanent as it is.”wrote Samson on Twitter.

However, Boomzhub has learnt that the tweet was directed towards Next Media’s imminent shift from their Kamwokya based home to Naguru. Next media’s new home will host the studios for NBS TV, Sanyuka, Salam TV and Nile Post.
The Naguru mansion had been home to WBS TV which was bought by Zimbabwean company Kwese TV which also suffered an unknown fate.
Kin Kariisa, the Next Media supremo reportedly entered into a lease agreement with former WBS boss Gordon Wavamunno to use the former WBS home as the new home to NBS TV and her sister media houses.
