KAMPALA- Uganda’s Health Ministry has confirmed 181 new Coronavirus cases from 1,989 samples tested on Sunday September 20th 2020.
According to the statement issued by the Ministry, of the confirmed cases, 157 are contacts and alerts including 73 from Kampala, 19 from Mbale, 26 from Kapchorwa, Soroti 10, Jinja 5 and Kaberamaido 5.
Other cases include 3 from Kumi, Buikwe, Iganga, Isingiro each registered 2 cases, Ngora 3 whereas Busia, Kaliro, Kanungu, Masaka, Rakai, Sironko and Wakiso districts each registered a single case.
The other cases include three truck drivers who arrived via Malaba point of entry, and 21 returnees, 20 of whom returned from India while the other returned from Tanzania.
To date, Uganda has registered a cumulative total of 6,468 confirmed Coronavirus cases, 2,731 recoveries and sixty three fatalities.
