The number of confirmed cases of the deadly COVID-19 have hit 1,000 after the latest test results released by the ministry of health. According to the Director General of health services in the ministry of health Dr. Henry Mwebesa, 23 new cases of COVID-19 tested positive yesterday Wednesday 8th, dragging the number from 977 to 1,000.
The total number of COVID-19 recoveries in Uganda stands at 908. This implies that there are now 92 active cases around the hospitals in Uganda.
Meanwhile, Uganda still has large sections of the economy under lock and key, with Arcades, bodabodas, schools, betting halls, bars and night clubs, religious institutions and academic institutions still unable to operate.
