KAMPALA- The ministry of Health has confirmed 12 new coronavirus cases from 2,292 samples tested yesterday.
This brings the cumulative total of confirmed cases of Ugandans to 1,025.
According to the breakdown, 7 cases are truck drivers; 5 from Malaba, 2 from Mirama Hills and Elegu. Another 5 cases are from Alerts and contacts: 2 from Tororo, 2 from Lira, 1 from Cyanika.
Additionally, 17 foreign truck drivers tested positive for COVID-19 at the border points of entry and their entry into the country was not permitted.
Uganda has todate registered 972 recoveries Including both Ugandans and Foreigners.
