110th Ugandan Succumbs to COVID-19 as cases hike to 12,410

KAMPALA- Uganda’s Health Ministry has registered 209 new COVID-19 cases from samples tested on Thursday October 29th 2020.

The new cases hike Uganda’s cumulative cases to 12,410 and total recoveries to 7,503.

The Country also registered 2 new COVID-19 deaths all registered in Kampala hiking the country’s death toll to 110.

According to the Ministerial statement, the 209 new cases include 207 contacts and alerts 85 of whom are from Kampala, 16 from Wakiso, 2 from Apac, Budaka (1), Buikwe (1), Bukwo (1), Busia (4), Butaleja (1), Dokolo (3), and Gulu (1).

Others are 3 from Iganga, 2 from Jinja, 6 from Kabale, Kaberamaido (1), Kalaki (2), Kapchorwa (6), Katakwi (5), Kibuku (3), Kyotera (3), Lira (3), Luwero (22), Mbale (8), Mityana (6) and Mukono (3).

Namisindwa district registered 2, 3 from Nebbi, 4 from Oyam, 2 from Sironko, 3 from Soroti, Tororo (4), Kassanda (1). 2 other cases are truck drivers including 1 from Malaba and 1 from Suam border points of entry.
